This stuff looks amazing! great work!
Thanks! That means a lot coming from you. I have always liked your stuff. Will deffo use some of it if I ever get around to actually making game x)
I was thinking about the same, Your retro stuff would fit many of my ideas. :D
Must-have, to be honest... Excellent job for the dungeon tiles & walls! Love the pillars with the dark areas behind, where you can spot vertical openings. (< from my review) Also appreciate the very affordable price and courtesy of showing all of what's inside, as a full preview (so no bad surprises). As for the thicker pillars, love them too. Since they are only in orange, I made duplicates in blue/grey. Easy to do, so its not an issue.
Straight 5★ stars.
Thanks :P I appreciate people who bother to give ratings a lot. It's a shame that we don't get notified and cant respond to them on this site tho.
Im glad its affordable, I would have had preferred everything be free tbh as im an amateur, but im on disability so this is pretty much the only way for me to earn a little bit extra :)
Hey, Monsteretrope! LOVE your stuff. Recently grabbed your 8-Bit Bundle, and I'm having a small issue with the dungeon's animated water tiles (A1) for RPG Maker MV.
When plugged into the A1 (Animation) spot, the D_A1_01/02/03/ tiles flicker between the still water and the waterfall graphic.
Yeah, it looks all wrong. Not sure what happened there :P I'll fix it when I get some time. Thanks for letting me know.
I thought I should!
Otherwise, the tileset(s) have been wonderful! They've got the perfect vibe and aesthetic that I wanted. Great work, Monsteretrope! Absolutely nailed that FF3~ look.
I'mma keep using them (obviously) and just update it whenever it becomes available.
Keep up the good work! =)
Ended up changing it up so its not the same as the town version.
Very nice. Quite the value aswell with the variety. Appreciate it already being set up for RPG Maker too.
Any chance you would be interested in making a post apocalyptic or modern tileset? Not a lot of options out there for non medieveal 8-bit tiles, sadly.
Perhaps in the future, but im a bit burned out on tilesets for now :P
All too understandable. XD
To be honest, I'm just always happy to have more retro resources to tinker with, no matter what they are. Guys like you, Mighty Palm and Marumugi are doing fantastic work.
whoa this is awesome. So much content in this one!
Yeah the walls/ground were surprisingly fun to make :P
Those look awesome (as always). But there's this question I had for a while now:
What size are the tiles? The 8-Bit Icons have the tag "32x32". Which makes me think, it's a 32x32 pixel set.
But the "8-Bit Castle" says it's 48x48 pixels. Since RPG Maker etc. And it wasn't mentioned in the other assets.
So ... which is it? 32x32? 48x48? Both?! Each their own size?
And why not mention it in the description of the asset in question? Sure, I was able to find *some* info. But for now it's mostly guessing.
That's a good question and the answer is....I simply forgot xD I will add it now. Thanks for letting me know.
All the tilesets are 48x48 while the Icons are 32x32 (Just how it works in RPG Maker MV/MZ)
clarification from another pack: the art pixel size is 16x16, and it’s scaled up to work with rpg maker. but on other engines we can use it in original 16x16 resolution!
